Quality Candy Shoppes / Buddy Squirrel of Wisconsin voluntarily stopped selling all products containing pistachios from it's stores and website today after the FDA announced Salmonella contamination in pistachio products sold by Setton Pistachio of Terra Bella Inc, Calif.

Based on current information from the ongoing investigation, Quality Candy / Buddy Squirrel has not purchased the Pistachios that are in question; however, the FDA's main message to consumers is to hold off eating foods containing pistachios until the extent of the products and brands affected by the recall are known, or unless the safety of pistachio-containing foods can otherwise be confirmed.
